UPDATE:Ivan from Gorilla Whips contacted me and assured me that they stand behind their products and is sending a new LED Whip despite me throwing the broken one in the trash. It's not often that a company will go out of their way to ensure a satisfied customer but Ivan did. I highly recommend any Gorilla Whips product.I did a lot of research on LED whips before buying this one from Gorilla Whips. I even watched a video from Gorilla Whips where they beat a trash can unmercifully with one of their whips. Gorilla Whips were a little more expensive than their competition, but the extra cost seemed worth the apparent quality and durability. I received the Gorilla Whip on Jube 13th and put it on my RZR about a week later. It looked great and functioned as advertised. 31,days later on July 14th while riding in the sand, I heard something dragging behind me. I pullover, and I see the whip is broken about 9 inches above the mount. OK, no problem, I'll contact Amazon. I contacted Amazon and they tell me that their return/exchange policy is only good for 30 days from date of receiving. Shame on you, Amazon. I can understand if it was abused or installed incorrectly. But four miles in the sand on it's very first use? I bought this LED whip because of the company's reputation for strength and durability and you can imagine how disappointed I was that it would break out it's very first use. I plan on buying another LED whip from Gorilla Whips so that I could have two of them on my RZR.I tested the amperage draw on my LED-REM-1000 6ft LED whip. Amperage draw varies from 1.5A to 3.8A depending on the color you choose (you can change colors with the wireless remote). Dark blue draws the least current at 1.5A. The brighter colors draw more. This is a decent product, but care will be required when using- it's easily broken if you hit a branch or something on the trail.Really liked the light whip, it looks awesome, and was easy to hook up! Does all kinds of cool things!!Nice whips....great service after the sale! I ordered 2 whips and one of the whips was missing the retainer pin. A quick email to Gorilla Whips and the problem was resolved. Ivan at GW's stuck one in the mail and even sent me a tracking number to ensure that I got it.I put the whips on my XP4 rzr and took it to a motorcycle rally.....I was stopped many times with people asking me where they can get some just like it.Looks good. No issues. Easy to install. Better if u get the conector from the tail light with external wires.. that way u dont open any of the stock wires from ur rig. Spend 11 box and looks clean set up.Eveyrone that has a 4x4 should had one or more of these. Amazing lights! Not only do they look cool and are fun to play around with the different colors etc. The are the best safety equipment out there!!! You can be seen so much futher away and if someone your not riding with has one you can see them long before you hear them. These are a must for Sand dune riding.Super bright, strong, fun and visible from a loooooong way off. Get yours now!Ordered my whip a few months ago, didn't go riding until this week and I installed it right before going. On my first ride at the sand dunes, it snapped at the base. The best part, because I waited over a month to use it, I'm stuck with a broken, $100+ Light bar.I hope gorilla whips or seller will work with me to fix the situation because I feel sick that I potentially wasted that much money. Also, after installing my whip, I realized there was no remote control yo change the color of my whip. Also, it does not come with long enough wire to connect to the battery terminal. Kind of disappointed when you pay over $100 for a whip and then still have to buy additional items to mount and wire it to machine.
