I am in no way a ZEPPELIN authority on unseen photos of the band, but I have had several books on ZEP thru the years and this one is a very nice picture book with pics that I have never seen. It has around 200 color and b&w pics from the early years of the band members to the late 2000's. There is a picture on each page with a brief summary of the events of ZEP history at the bottom of each page. This would be a good book for a casual fan or the harcore collector.greatlove it!Great conditionThis book is filled with pictures of Led Zeppelin in concert, on tour and in publicity photos. It starts just prior to the formation of the band and continues after the breakup in 1980 up until 2008 (with a recounting of the performances of Plant, Page and Jones together and individually after Bonham's death). The photographs are mostly of average quality and mostly black and white. The accompanying text is very superficial, offering minimal insight into the band and mainly describes what each photograph is about. The book walks you through their tour history, highlighting some specific concerts and lists the timeframe of each tour and the timeframes of when the albums were recorded and released. It mentions a few of the personal tragedies of the members of the band but provides no real insight into the circumstances or aftermath of any of it and very little information on any of the personal lives of the band members; if it wasn't captured on tour or in public, it's not in this book. There is a nice timeline at the end of the book but to call it a biography is misleading. As someone who loves their music but has not read a lot about them, I must say I'm glad I read it, but it left me thinking and wondering more about what was NOT covered than what was. Overall it is worth reading for the pictures but definitely does not provide the complete portrait of Led Zeppelin.Great book for any led zep fan.Excellent! Superb! Wonderful!
